FC Bayern Munich secured a comfortable victory over RB Salzburg in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie, booking their spot in the quarterfinals. The German giants cruised to a 7-1 triumph at the Allianz Arena, adding to their 1-1 draw in the first leg.
Robert Lewandowski led the way with a hat-trick, scoring from the penalty spot in the 12th and 21st minutes before completing his treble in the 23rd. Serge Gnabry extended the lead in the 31st minute, followed by Thomas Müller's goal in the 54th. Lewandowski's replacement Leroy Sané netted in the 85th minute, while Müller sealed the victory with his second in the 83rd.
Bayern's dominance was evident throughout the match, with the Bavarians controlling possession and creating numerous chances. Salzburg managed to grab a consolation goal through Benjamin Sesko in the 88th minute, but it proved to be a mere footnote to Bayern's emphatic victory.
